Noah’s Ark CARES - Who We Are

Originally set up in 1995 in Singapore, NANAS (Noah’s Ark Natural Animal Sanctuary) is the realization of one man’s passion, love and dedication for animals in general and strays in particular. When rents in Singapore escalated, it relocated to Pekan Nanas in Johor.

Today, NANAS is home to more than 6 horses, 700 dogs and 400 cats, amongst other animals, all of whom NANAS has helped sterilize and resettle on its 10 acres of lush terrain, offering a safe haven for these animals to roam free and happy without fear of dangers, abuse or indeed where their next meal will come from.

The Singapore arm of NANAS was formed in June 2005 and is known as Noah’s Ark CARES (Companion Animal Rescue and Education Society).

Melody, the pony which was rescued from the defunct Tang Dynasty.

Melody now has the freedom to excercise & explore the whole terrain.

Another rescued horse, Grith having a whale of a time with his doggie friends.

The kitties in Wisma Kuching with a view overlooking the pond.

Lots of time and space to cosy up to each other.

A huge scratching post....

..... that can double up as a seat

Do you think I look cute?

The afternoon drama unfolding, of doggie antics in the pond.

More fun in numbers.

Princess having a splashing good time.

I have just accessed this blog for the first time and found the efforts in making this (NANAS and all) happen inspiring. I believe NANAS is moving in the right direction by increasing its visibility through such events as the National Dog Walk. It is people like Raymund and his volunteers that remind me not to throw in the towel when my own animal rescue efforts, sometimes, run into a wall. Thanks again for the remarkable work and for inspiring me to do the same.
