Noah's Ark Public Tour - October 2011

Hello everyone!

The lovely animals can’t wait to see you in person - the doggies are eager to be hugged, the cats ever-ready to greet you with their ‘meows’, and of course Berry & Starbucks (our resident monkeys) will be reaching out to their treat of fruits from you. You will also get up close and personal with our 4 horses and a pony, they will not be shy to let you know that carrots and apples are their favourite! For the hutch of bunnies, they will trail you till you offer them chye sim and carrots (sparing amounts). Every visit is an unforgettable experience for all our visitors, we’ve been told!

We are pleased to inform you that our next public tour will be held on Saturday, 8th October. Hence, please register and reserve your seats early to avoid disappointment.

Please note that seats will only be confirmed upon receipt of payment. It costs just S$60/pax and this includes transport to and fro plus a yummy dinner. Please inform us should you have special dietary requirements. We will do our best to accommodate you.

Itinerary for the day tour:

Please be at Boon Lay MRT Passenger Pick-Up Point at 1.30pm as attendance needs to be taken. Transport to and fro is from the Boon Lay Passenger Pick up point, i.e. Boon Lay MRT. It is at the same side as the interchange where many bicycles are parked.


2.00 pm - Depart Boon Lay for Noah's Ark
3.30 pm - Arrive at the Sanctuary
5.30 pm - Depart Noah's Ark for Dinner
6.00 pm - Time for dinner!
7.30pm - Depart for Singapore

**Please note the following terms & conditions;

1) There will be no refund if you do not show up on that day. The money will be taken as a donation to the animals of Noah's Ark. Thank you.
2) Substitutes are acceptable, but only one change of name/person is allowed and it must occur 1 week before the departure date.
3) Children below 5 years old are not advised to visit unless they have no fear of being surrounded by many dogs at one time. Parents/Guardians will have to be responsible for their children/ward at the sanctuary.

Visits to Noah’s Ark Natural Animal Sanctuary (NANAS)

Dear Friends and Supporters,

As you are aware, we have a private sanctuary in Pekan Nanas, Johor Bahru, and we have been organizing visits to the sanctuary since it was set up. We have been overwhelmed by phone and email requests to visit NANAS. To avoid any disappointments, we would like to take this opportunity to advise on visits to the sanctuary. Kindly note the following:

1. All visits (both public and private/self-drive) are to adhere to the dates specified on our blog. Notifications of the visits are sent out via email blasts. If you would like to be on our mailing list, please drop us an email at noahsarkcares@gmail.com

2. No walk-ins will be entertained as we are not opened for visits on all other weekends.

3. If you have a group of more than 25 pax, do write to us at noahsarkcares@gmail.com to make separate arrangements for a private visit. At least a 2-month advance notice is required.

Noah’s Ark CARES volunteers need to be present for all our scheduled visits – to bring the visitors around, to ensure that the doggies do not get too excited resulting in fights. This is all for the safety of the visitors. As all volunteers are working full-time, we need time to inform and gather manpower for each visit. Hence, we seek your kind understanding that we are unable to accommodate walk-ins.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, our visiting dates are sometimes cancelled. The sanctuary faces many challenges each day: thunderstorms leading to flooding of the place and trees/structures collapsing; lightning causing the generator to malfunction; manpower challenges and etc. As it is a natural sanctuary, we are at the mercy of the weather.

Regardless, thank you for your continuous support with Noah’s Ark CARES over the years. Do watch out for the next update of our tour date and we look forward to seeing you at the next visit!

Kitten adoption drive this weekend - 10th/11th September

A family of 6 kittens are waiting to find good homes who will love and take care of them for the rest of their lives. We believe it's better to have a loving family as compared to having no family at all.

The kittens are 2+mths old, healthy and active, and were rescued from an elderly guardian who can no longer care for them. They are extremely affectionate and love to interact with fosterers. We will rehome the kittens to genuine cat lovers and adopters who have experience handling kittens and cats.

We will also request for home visits to follow up on the adoption. If you can open your heart and your home to these little ones, please email us at noahsarkcares@gmail.com.
